Our Story

Baltimore's rowhouses were built together. With shared walls, shared stoops & shared streets. They fail together, too. Vacancy spreads house by house until a block loses its story. Blockory works the way the city was built: whole blocks, restored together, brought back to life.

One acquisition, one build, one renewed block face — instead of scattered rehabs that leave vacancy on either side. We restore with respect for the historic fabric, then keep the story going: some homes held as affordable rentals for the working artists who give a block its voice, others sold to new owners putting down roots. Because a block's story doesn't end at the ribbon cutting.

Blockory is a two-generation partnership. Ariana brings the architect’s eye, developer’s vision and arts background. Her father, Carroll, brings decades of hands-on Baltimore rowhouse experience. One draws the future of the block, the other knows exactly how to build it — and together they’ve turned a shared love of the city into a shared enterprise.

Together they deliver projects with trusted Baltimore-based general contractors, working alongside city programs and community lenders committed to reducing vacancy and expanding affordable housing.
